Starting August 19th, Dune will be split into multiple divisions, each with around 50 clans.
This is the first time Dune has ever been divided, and it completely changes how the lower tier works — clearer progress, fairer match-ups, and fresh opponents every week.
Four Leagues, Bigger Battles
The top tiers are fixed, but Dune will be split into divisions.
- Odyssey, Eclipse, Horizon: fixed at 50 clans each for consistent, high-stakes competition.
- Dune: introduced as multiple divisions, each at ~50 clans.
- Division count: random and recalculated every Cycle based on how many clans are in Dune.
This keeps the top competitive, keeps the match-ups fresh, gives new clans room to grow, and turns Dune into a ladder for smaller clans to compete on an even playing field.
About the New-Cycle Briefing
If you’re in the Dune League, you’ll see a special pop-up at the start of each cycle.
It shows:
- How many Dune divisions are active this cycle.
- How many clans from each division will move up to Horizon at the end of the cycle.
- How many clans from Horizon will drop into Dune.
This pop-up only appears once per cycle and is exclusive to Dune players.
Weekly Movement Between Tiers
At the end of every weekly Cycle, final standings determine who moves.
- Odyssey and Eclipse: the top 5 in Eclipse move up to Odyssey; the bottom 5 in Odyssey move down to Eclipse.
- Eclipse and Horizon: the top 5 in Horizon move up to Eclipse; the bottom 5 in Eclipse move down to Horizon.
- Horizon and Dune: the count of clans that move up/down is dynamic each Cycle. It’s set in the in-game briefing and depends on how many Dune divisions are active.
What this means for your clan
- Each week, results are locked in. Teams move up or down based on where they finish in their league.
- Finish near the top to keep or gain your spot; finish near the bottom and you drop.
- The number of clans moving up between Horizon and Dune can change each week to keep both tiers balanced.
Fairer Dune Divisions
Dune is no longer one big league. It’s split into several divisions, each with about 50 clans.
At the start of every Cycle:
- Divisions rebuild automatically, so you’re not stuck with the same opponents.
- The number of divisions and their sizes adjust to the total clans in Dune.
- New clans go to the newest or least-filled division to keep things even.
Why This Matters
- Every tier stays active and harder to predict.
- Faster progression — more movement spots mean you can climb the ladder quicker.
- Fresh opponents every week — you’ll face new rivals regularly in Dune and Horizon, keeping the competition interesting.
When It Starts
What you’ll see at the start of Cycle 105
- Dune splits into divisions (about 50 clans each).
- You’ll see which Dune division you’re in and your initial opponents.
- The in-game briefing will show how many Dune divisions are active and how many clans move between Horizon and Dune this week.
Get ready — the battle for the top just got a whole lot more interesting!
