Rarity Scores — How Rare Is Your GoMining Miner?

Rarity Scores — How Rare Is Your GoMining Miner?

Soon, you'll be able to explore rarity scores for your Digital miners and see how it ranks among other miners! Each miner has unique traits, and the rarity score shows just how special and uncommon those traits are.

How Do Rarity Scores Work?

Every miner has unique traits like its Wall, Top, Buttons, Display, Fans, Screen, Body, Stickers, and Items. Each of those traits has its own rarity percentage.

A miner’s rarity score is calculated by summing the individual rarity values of its traits, where each trait's rarity is determined as a sum of all trait rarities (trait rarity = 1 ÷ Rarity Percentage). This score is fixed and always rounded to a whole number.

We recently released the GoMining Achievements, which let you show off your progress and mining milestones with collectible “stickers” for your Digital miner. But it's not just about looks—achievements enhance your miner’s rarity value too, and make your mining journey uniquely yours.

With rarity scores, you can see how everything about your miner (including its Achievements) contributes to its rank.

What About Rank?

Your miner’s rank shows where it stands among all the others in the collection based on its rarity score, and shows a rarity percentage (i.e. how rare it is among all other miners).

  • If multiple miners have the same score, they share the same rank
  • Ranks in older collections stay the same, but in The Mine Box collection, they update daily to keep things exciting. Why? Because Mine Box is a generative collection, constantly creating new miners.

What Are the Rank Tiers?

The higher the rarity percentage, the more impressive the rank banner:

  • 0.00–0.10%: Legendary (Hidden Gem)
  • 0.10–1.00%: Very Rare (King of Miners)
  • 1.00–5.00%: Rare (Mining Treasure)
  • 5.00–10.00%: Unusual (Burning Find)
  • 10.00–20.00%: Infrequent (Flashy Miner)
  • 20.00–100.00%: Common

How is the percentage calculated?

Let's see an example:

If your miner is ranked 50th out of 10,000, that means its rarity percentage is:(50 ÷ 10,000) × 100 = 0.5%. If two miners have the same score, they share a rank, and the next one skips ahead.

With all this information, you can truly celebrate your miner’s uniqueness!
