GoMining 2025: Bringing Bitcoin Into Everyday Life

2025 was the year GoMining strengthened the core of what we’re building: the foundations of a Bitcoin ecosystem where earning Bitcoin is the starting point, not the finish line.

This year, our work went beyond mining alone. We expanded into products, education, and infrastructure that connect earning, usage, and participation in one single app.

Here’s a look at what we delivered in 2025 and the groundwork we put in place for what comes next.

• 5,000 BTC earned by GoMining users to date 

As the GoMining community grew in 2025, participation deepened. More users weren’t just joining — they were staying, engaging across more parts of the ecosystem, and using the platform in different ways. 

Reaching this new level of participation meant one thing: making sure everyone on the platform could continue to find real value, whether they were just getting started or deeply involved.

Earning and Using Bitcoin

Earning Bitcoin

In 2025, we introduced Mine Now, Pay Later (MNPL), allowing people to start mining immediately while paying for hashrate over time. By lowering upfront costs and working with major hardware vendors, MNPL opened mining access to many who previously couldn’t afford it.

We also developed the framework for the upcoming Simple Earn, a Bitcoin-yield product for those who don’t own miners yet or want additional ways to earn BTC on idle balances. This is on our roadmap for 2026, and will be launched in the near future.

Using Bitcoin in Everyday Life

We continued developing our in-app wallet to support holding and managing BTC, GOMINING, and other supported assets. These updates to the GoMining virtual wallet lay the foundation for using Bitcoin beyond mining.

We have also started the gradual rollout of virtual debit cards in the EU, making it possible for GoMiners to spend Bitcoin in everyday transactions and bring BTC closer to daily life.

Learning, Gaming & Community Participation

As more people joined GoMining in 2025, we focused on making the experience easy to understand, enjoyable to use, and worth coming back to. Whether someone was new to mining or already active, the goal was simple: help GoMiners learn, have fun, and get more value from their time in the app.

GoMining Academy

We launched the GoMining Academy in July to help users learn how Bitcoin, mining, and GoMining work in practice. It’s there for onboarding, refreshers, and anyone who wants to understand what they’re doing before going deeper. Since launch, 141,252 users have explored the Bitcoin & Mining course, while 34,939 have completed the GoMining Basics course!

Miner Wars & Gamification

Miner Wars continued to evolve throughout the year. We introduced Miner Wars Leagues to add clearer progression and rewards, and rolled out new power-ups like Clan Boost, Copy Boost, Power-Up Boost, and Echo Boost to make gameplay more engaging.

Community & Events

GoMiners also connected beyond the app. We met the community at Bitcoin 2025 Conference in Las Vegas and hosted the Satoshi Games at European Blockchain Convention 11 in Barcelona. 

During the year, we also launched The Luminars avatar collection and GoClub, adding new ways for GoMiners to take part and feel connected.

Infrastructure & Ecosystem Foundations

In 2025, we opened things up a bit more — bringing GoMining to new chains, new users, and sharing more visibility into how mining actually works.

We launched fully tradable Digital Miners on Solana, giving GoMiners more flexibility and welcoming members of the Solana community into GoMining. We also introduced the GoMining Launchpad, making it easier for our users to get early access to new features and Bitcoin-focused projects as they’re rolled out.

Across our community and socials, we also shared more of how mining works in practice. Throughout the year, we published data center content and behind-the-scenes updates so GoMiners could see where their hashrate comes from and how the infrastructure operates.

As the platform continued to grow, we also formed a GoMining Advisory Board to help guide long-term decisions around technology, strategy, and regulation.

Looking Ahead: Building a Connected Bitcoin Ecosystem

Mining is where GoMining started, but it’s no longer the whole story.

GoMining is ready to become an all-in-one Bitcoin app designed to help people earn, use, and benefit from Bitcoin in everyday life.

In 2026, we’re bringing in the products that make this possible:

• Cards — to spend Bitcoin in the real world and get cashback in mining power
• Simple Earn — to earn Bitcoin on idle wallet balances
• Travel — to use Bitcoin for travel purchases
• Lending — to get liquidity against Bitcoin and mining power without selling
• Web3 Wallet — to hold and pay with Bitcoin fast, cheap, and with full control.
