How to upgrade your Digital Miner

How to upgrade your Digital Miner

What is computing power?

Computing power, measured in TeraHash per second (TH/s), is a fundamental aspect of GoMining’s Digital miners. TH/s indicates the computational work a miner can perform to verify and add transactions on the blockchain. Each Digital miner is linked to real mining equipment housed in data centers. Owning a Digital miner gives you a share of that computing power. The more computing power your Digital miner has, the higher your rewards in Solo mining and the better your chances of securing greater rewards in Pool mining.

How can you upgrade computing power?

Improving the computing power of your Digital miners is a cost-effective way to increase your rewards. There are 20 power levels available, ranging from 1 TH/s (Level 1) to 5,000 TH/s (Level 20). The costs associated with upgrading are lower than purchasing a new Digital miner with equivalent power, making it more economical to scale up.

To upgrade, head to the “Digital miners” section, select your miner, and click “Upgrade.” The available options and costs will be displayed, with all changes reflected in real-time in your account.

Why is energy efficiency important?

Energy efficiency measures the energy consumed per TH/s (W/TH) required to achieve a specific level of computing power. Lower energy consumption reduces electricity fees, resulting in higher net rewards. Mining with GoMining involves real blockchain networks, therefore, energy consumption is a critical factor; however, enhancing the energy efficiency of your Digital miners can significantly decrease costs.

How can you improve energy efficiency?

Upgrading your Digital miner’s energy efficiency can boost performance and lower electricity fees, resulting in increased rewards since more efficient miners consume less energy. To upgrade, visit the “My Miners” section, select your Digital miner, click “Upgrade,” and choose your desired energy efficiency level.
