Miner Wars: How Winners Are Chosen

Miner Wars: How Winners Are Chosen

In Miner Wars, anyone can win, and claim a Bitcoin block for themselves, and their clan. The same block rewards the clan with BTC, while one winning clan member receives additional GOMINING tokens on top of their share of BTC.

You can’t cheat, but you can develop a strategy, and unite the might of your Clan’s farms to bring victory to the team.

Of course, we have a few tips to help you get a hang of the game.

What is Miner Wars

Miner Wars by GoMining is a real-time, blockchain-based game in the GoMining app, with rewards in both $BTC and $GOMINING. In Miner Wars, you join a Clan or create one and compete with other clans and other players. All digital miner holders can participate in the game. Doesn’t matter if you only have a Bonus Miner or a huge powerful farm.

There are two leagues: Starter and Pro. Starter League is available to all miner owners, including those with only a Bonus miner. You have to own a digital miner to play in the Pro League.

You can get 2 types of rewards:

  • BTC rewards in Clan battles (available in the Starter League and Pro League)
  • GOMINING tokens in individual competitions (available only in the Pro League)

Every round ends when the GoMining server receives confirmation of a real block closure in the Bitcoin network. Approximately 120-150 game rounds take place each day.

Who Wins?

Success in Miner Wars hinges on two main competitions: Clan Battles and Individual Rewards.

And in the game, each competition has its own prize fund: BTC for Clan rewards and GOMINING tokens — for the personal leaderboard.

So, how are winners decided in each?

How the winning clan is decided

For Clan BTC Rewards:

  1. Each clan’s total score is calculated by adding up the individual scores of all its players.
  2. Clans are assigned a range or “interval” based on their total score—the higher the score, the larger the range.
  3. When the Bitcoin block hash is generated, it picks a random value that falls within one of these ranges. The clan corresponding to this range wins the round and claims the BTC reward.

This system ensures that every clan has a chance to win, and higher scores increase the probability of winning.

How the winning player is decided

For Individual GOMINING Rewards:

  1. When a clan wins the BTC prize, the players in the clan can also win a GOMINING prize.
  2. After a clan wins the BTC prize, the spotlight shifts to individual players within that clan.
  3. Each player’s personal score determines the range or “interval” they have within the clan—the higher the personal score, the larger their share of the range.
  4. The same Bitcoin block hash is used to select a random value from the range within the clan. This random value decides which player gets the GOMINING tokens.

The Full Rundown: How Math Chooses the Winners

The brief overview above should give the main idea, but let’s break this down even further.

For Clan Winners

Calculating Scores:

— Each player earns a personal score. A clan’s score is the total of all personal scores of its members. So, let’s say we have Clan Go, Clan Mining, and Clan Forever.

— Clan Go: 40,000 points

— Clan Mining: 60,000 points

— Clan Forever: 75,000 points

Determining the Winning Clan:

A random mathematical process determines the winner based on scores:

Hash Value: A unique number (from Bitcoin blockchain) is converted into a decimal value.

  • Example: A block hash (say, 0000000000000000000002d306eca5333c80bce42c57cdfa32398e599d5519cc460) will be converted to it’s decimal number.

The decimal number would be something like 270516535066034331572171579187041234861424580702815328.

Intervals: Clans are assigned score ranges based on their total scores.

  • Example:
    — Clan Mining: 0–60,000
    — Clan Go: 60,001–100,000
    — Clan Forever: 100,001–175,000

Divide Decimal Value by Total Score: The result determines the winner.

The decimal value is then divided by the total score of all Clans. From our incredible Clans Go, Mining & Forever, this total is 175,000. The result (144,064) falls in Clan Forever’s interval (100,001–175,000). Clan Forever wins!

Determining the Winning Player

The same process is repeated within the winning clan:

Intervals for Players: Each player is assigned a range based on their personal scores.

Example for Clan Forever:

  • James 🧔‍♂️: 100,000–120,000 (20,000 points)
  • Felicia 👩‍🦰: 120,001–170,000 (50,000 points)
  • Senti ⛏️👾: 170,001–175,000 (5,000 points)

To Find the Winner: The same division result (144,064) falls into Felicia’s range. She wins the personal prize.

And That’s It

Winning in Miner Wars isn’t decided by a person—it’s pure code.

The algorithm processes blockchain data, verifies contributions, and selects winners based on the game’s rules. No bias, no shortcuts—just the numbers determining who claims the next block.

Your best bet? Optimize your mining power, coordinate with your clan, and let the code do the rest.
